Although Chandler is bound to the Zhejiang Lions until the season ends later this month, his agent Chris Luchey says the fan base of several hundred million is worth the challenges, which include rather spartan dormitory-style living conditions. The article also uses Chandler’s time in China to illustrate the challenges the NBA faces in fully expanding into China. In the meantime, the Chinese are struggling to produce its own basketball stars.
